The ceramic glass is a special glass to which, during production, materials were added for controlled crystallization therefore resistant to high temperatures.

Most Deville hearth grates have been modified and improved over the years. To avoid replacement of the entire hearth grate, a base frame was created that follows the perimeter of the hearth grate and two thicker half grids that fit inside the frame.
